Must See Video

This video shows the active lava, although because it's daylight the lava itself cannot be seen, just the violent action it respresents!

Interesting Digs

This little roadside store is made up of a few tents in the back where the old man selling wares lives, and a truck with a few stands that hold stuff to buy such as water, flashlights (needed to walk to volcano at night), paintings, pictures and more!

Aloha Ohana!

We took a trip to the Volcano National Park today, and saw some amazing things. From steam vents rushing up through the cracks in the volcano, to the rolling hills of endless lava that covers the countryside... there's nothing like it and the pictures below can't do it justice.

Also added today are pics of Sadie and her coconut (her new favorite toy, lol), our first spam dinner, pictures of Pahoa town a video of our chickens.

Everyone is doing well but still trying to get used to the time difference... we're pretty much on Oregon time still! :)

We have already met some very nice people and we're getting along great, with many more adventures to come! We'll be sure to share them:)

We love you all, Mahalo for sharing our adventures with us and Aloha!

The Lava Flows Throughout the Park... Right Above the Boiling Depths of the Volcano...EEK! :)

An Amazing, expansive land of lava where the huge vent it spewing gases.... around us at the time of this picture were numerous smaller steam vents... close enough for us to feel the heat and dampness of them:
